Again, this second generation was recognised with the Red Dot Design Award in 2009. Produced from 2010 to 2013 the homologated GT3 variant included an engine capacity increase from the standard six-cylinders to a 4.4-litre eight-cylinder unit delivering an impressive 508 bhp. As well as going to the gym the GT3 had been on strict diet with weight reducing to 1,200 kg from around 1,500 kg across the 4 models to ensure a competitive power to weight ratio come race day.
